Anni is situated in the south-west part of Shirak region. The territory of region is 614 square km. the major part of them is on 1600 height from sea level. This region is rich in construction materials.

City Maralik and 16 agricultural communities are in this region.

Economy of region:

Here basically the agriculture and building industry is developed. In agriculture animal breeding and bee keeping are more developed.

Grain, food and vegetable cultures are growing.

Food industry is mainly directed on production of dairy products.

Construction industry is specialized on construction materials, particularly with tuff, basalt and diatomite.

Export evaluation

There are great reserves for extension of meat and milk products, and construction materials.
