Amasia region is situated in the north-west part of Shirak region.The western part of territory borders on Turkey. The territory of region is 614 square km.the major part of them is on 1500-2000 heights from sea level.

There are 20 agricultural communities

Economy of region:

Agricultural industry is developed here - cattle breading and bee keeping

Food industry basically is specialized on production of meat products.

Export evaluation:

There are great reserves for extension of meat and milk products. Taking into account favorable climate conditions of regions, they would like to extend the assortment of cheese such as Swiss and also leather, wool and honey.
